Tanker Blogging.
I saw this tanker coming through on Saturday morning, coming out of the Chelsea Creek and being turned around by the tugboats, so I thought I'd snap pictures. I'm not sure if it's an LNG (liquified natural gas) tanker, but I did notice the big painted sign on the bridge saying "NO SMOKING."

Interesting story and nice pictures! I googled the name of the tanker, and came up with the following: the Unique Sunshine was build in Japan and has been in service since January 2001. See here, halfway down the page (number 457). The shipyard even posts a picture of it...
Further, nice weblog, I found you in the Bostonites webring.

i work in the boston harbor. that is not an LNG, it is just an oil tanker. the only LNGs that come in a the berge boston, berge everett and catalunia spirit. you will see the difference in size. trust me. they are amazing to watch and there will be coast guard boats around it.
