Thank you to Gloria Carrigg of the East Boston Artists' Group for the heads up. Gloria is not only showing her art, but is also the curator of this exhibition, so please check it out and support and Eastie artist.

Nine Hispanic artists will be featured at the Felix Juliani Art Gallery on the Wellesley Hills campus of MassBay Community College in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The show officially opens with a reception on September 21 at 6pm.

Among the artists featured:

* Gloria Carrigg: a Salvadoran photographer who lives in Jamaica Plain, MA and is a member of Boston's Cultural Council. Her works were displayed at the 2004 Democratic National Convention as well as at Northeastern University, Suffolk University and Roxbury Community College.
* Francisco García, a Colombian painter who lives in Boston. Known for his giant size murals, Garcias works have been displayed at Harvard University, Boston City Hall and in galleries in Colombia and Ecuador.
* Mauricio Puente, a Salvadoran painter who lives in Pepperell, MA. His artwork is recognized worldwide with permanent collections in such places as: El Salvador, Brazil, France, Germany and Spain.
* Elkin Echeverri, a Colombian writer and poet whose new book, Pilgrims of Death, comes on the market in conjunction with MassBay's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. Mr. Echeverri will give a reading from his book at the September 21 opening at MassBay.

Hispanic Heritage Month is part of MassBay's Cultural Alliance. The show runs through October 15.
